TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. BOOKINGS

Glamping at Preston Court only handles bookings from persons over 18 years of age. We reserve the right, at all times – without statement of reasons – to refuse a booking. Glamping at Preston Court will confirm the booking via e-mail and you will receive a Payment Request within 24 hours. Glamping at Preston Court reserves the right to cancel and immediately refund any bookings made online through our website, without prior communication. The confirmation and invoice must be checked immediately on receipt for any errors. Possible or claimed inadequacies must always be notified by email or phone within 10 days following the date of the confirmation/invoice and in any case before the start of the stay. If, within 10 days after the booking, you are not in possession of a confirmation and invoice, then you must get in touch with Glamping at Preston Court.

2.GROUP BOOKINGS

It is the right of Glamping at Preston Court to refuse group bookings if we feel this may be of detriment to other guests staying on the farm. We may ask single sex groups (i.e. hen or stag parties) to take over all the tents at the Glampsite. It is the right of the farmer to refuse entry to any group bookings not authorized via reservations and any monies paid will not be reimbursed. In case of query regarding groups please call our Reservations Office on 07917131058. A group discount could be applicable subject to availability and occupancy.

3. PRICES

The prices on www.glampingatprestoncourt.co.uk are not binding; Glamping at Preston Court reserves the right to modify these prices. At the time of booking you will be informed of the prices applicable. The price stated on the confirmation/invoice is binding. Discounts and/or special offers can no longer be used after the confirmation/invoice has been sent by Glamping at Preston Court.

Glamping at Preston Court reserves the right to refuse bookings which have obviously wrong prices.

4. BELL TENT RENTAL

In the rental price of every tent the following is included:

  • Rental of Bell Tent and the pitch.
  • Bedlinen, towels
  • Kitchen linen, equipment and utensils
  • Food/drinks supplied by Glamping at Preston Court for communal use
  • Use of and access to the Preston Court Farm grounds (where permitted).
  • Use of water.
  • Final clean up.

5. DOGS

Dogs are allowed subject to prior consent. They must be kept under control and on a lead during your stay. If a dog does cause a nuisance or you arrive without pre-booking a dog in, Glamping at Preston Court reserve the right to ask that you take your dog to a local kennel. At the time of booking and at arrival on the farm, the dogs must be reported. Dogs must be kept off furniture and floor coverings inside the Bell Tents. We ask guests to bring old towels to clean/dry dirty paws. A fully refundable cash deposit of £30 will be collected on arrival, and refunded on departure, following satisfactory checks.

6. PAYMENTS

Booking payments are made in two stages. The deposit must be paid at the time of booking with the full amount due 30 days before arrival. The rental contract including the regulations regarding cancellation are applicable as soon as the deposit payment has been received.

7. BOOKING DEPOSIT

WEDDING ACCOMMODATION: To secure your required booking date, a 25% deposit is required, with the full amount due 30 days prior to the date of the wedding. For bookings made less than 30 days in advance, the full amount is payable on booking and is non-refundable. Your booking is not confirmed until the booking deposit is received in cleared funds. Acceptance of these terms and conditions is automatically assumed so we recommend you read them carefully before payment of the deposit.

GENERAL HOLIDAYS/WEEKEND ACCOMMODATION: If booking less than 3 months in advance, a sum equal to the booking total is required at time of booking. If booking more than 3 months in advance of your stay, a 25% deposit is required to reserve your accommodation.

9. DAMAGE/BREAKAGE DEPOSIT

For all general holidays/weekend bookings: A damage/cleanliness/bracelet deposit of £30 is required in advance for each Bell Tent hired. This will be refunded within 48 hours of departure following inspection of your unit should no damage/losses be found. 

For all 'Exclusive Wedding Package': The initial 25% deposit acts as the Damage/Breakage deposit, and will be returned within 48 hours of check -out, following an inspection of each Bell Tent, provided no damages/breakages have been found.


8. CANCELLATION POLICY

If in the event of cancellation, your booking is non-refundable. However, if you let us know in good time, we will make reasonable effort to re-sell the dates. If we are able to re-sell, we can make a refund of up to 75% of your booking. The 25% deposit is non-refundable. If you choose an early departure during your stay, you will still be charged for the entire time reserved.

9. CHANGES TO BOOKINGS

We will facilitate alteration requests where possible, but cannot guarantee availability.

10. PHOTOS 

All photos shared of Glamping at Preston Court through social media will be free to be used without accreditation or payment by Glamping at Preston Court.

11. CHECK IN/OUT

Check in is between 12.30pm and 6.00pm. We would appreciate it if you could let us know your estimated time of arrival, so we can be on site to meet you. Later arrivals can be catered for but must be pre-organised and arrangements will be put in place. Please vacate your Bell Tent by 10am on the day of your check-out, unless later check-out has been agreed subject to availability.

12. BEING RESPECTFUL OF OTHER GUESTS

Guests must be respectful to other guests on the site. Loud noise and nuisance will not be tolerated at any time and all noise must be kept to a minimum after 11pm. Guests who in our reasonable opinion are causing nuisance may be liable for loss of damage deposit money and/or be required to immediately leave the site. 

13. OCCUPANCY 

Occupancy of a Bell Tent must be agreed at point of booking.

Whilst we will always endeavour to put groups in tents close to each other and to allocate specifically requested tent positions, we are unable to guarantee this. 

14. FORCE MAJEURE

Force majeure as interpreted by Glamping at Preston Court exists if the implementation of the agreement is entirely or partially, temporarily or permanently, prevented due to circumstances which are beyond the control of Glamping at Preston Court, including threat of war, staff strikes, blockades, fire, floods, high winds and other disruptions or events. Glamping at Preston Court is within their rights to close their location when they consider such circumstances as these make it necessary.

15. LIABILITY

Glamping at Preston Court and the corresponding farm accept no liability for:

  • theft, loss or damage, of whatever nature, during or as a result of a stay
  • If you leave your tent in an improper condition, Glamping at Preston Court is entitled to charge an extra fee of 30GBP of additional (cleaning) costs. This can double to 60GBP in combination with a late departure.
  • Any damage or breakages which may occur must be paid for. Small accidental damages or breakages of a minor nature will not normally be charged but you are required to report all breakage and damage to the owners at the time or before you leave the camp. 

14. COMPLAINTS

Despite all the care of Glamping at Preston Court it may occur that you have a genuine complaint. Any complaints must be made known to us immediately. No complaints will be entertained at the end of the stay or after the guest has departed. 

15. WEDDINGS AND PRIVATE EVENTS

Preston Court also host weddings and events, which often run simultaneously with separate Glamping guests being hosted in the St Mildred's Meadow. There is potential for noise in the evening, however this rarely adversely affect our Glamping guests. Please contact us if you would like to check a date.

16. ASSUMPTION OF RISKS

Remember that you will be staying on a working farm with live animals and potentially dangerous farm equipment among other hazards. Also, you must be aware that some of the camp equipment may be dangerous if misused. Whilst we take great care to keep you safe, accidents can happen, we are not responsible for such accidents (to the greatest extent permitted by law). It is your responsibility to supervise any children. If you notice that any equipment looks faulty and/or unsafe you must inform us as soon as possible. We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance against the risk of accidents and your stay being cut short.

17. DAMAGE CAUSED BY FOOD & DRINKS

No food or drinks other than water may be consumed inside Bell Tents.

18. SMOKING

Smoking is not permitted inside the Bell Tents, Wendy House Kitchen, Geodesic Dome, or Bathroom Cabin.
